This college was established on 1 August, 1960 as co-educational college at Dalsinghsarai Block under Samastipur Sub-Division of Darbhanga District of Bihar State by two generous landlords Shri Ramashray Prasad Choudhary and Shri Baleshwar Prasad Choudhary who donated land and money for establishing this institution. At that time this locality was completely deprived of higher education. The institution was established with the mission of spreading higher education in this locality with special focus on the people of socially and economically weaker sections, women, SC, other backward classes and minorities
